Usually, thinking of the health benefits of herbal tea brings to mind how these delicious, refreshing beverages can help to ease or relieve all sorts of physical ailments (like encouraging a sound sleep, boosting sluggish digestion, or easing achy arthritic joints).
But... beneficial herbal teas can enrich emotional, mental, and spiritual health in countless ways, too.
Even the soothing ritual of pouring hot water over a favorite loose or bagged tea and quietly waiting while it steeps can bring a few moments of blissful calm into a busy day.
The beautiful simplicity of herbal teas makes them so easy and pleasurable to add to our daily routine! Herbs are really affordable so you can start with pre-made tea blends or you can go to the organic store or health store and buy a little bit of camomile and peppermint.
I like to make my own tea blends. Here is one that I really like to use.
Nettle and mint. It tastes just so nice and it is chockers full of healthy benefits.
Before you start drinking nettle in your teas, you could read the following article. https://draxe.com/stinging-nettle/
He also wrote an article about the benefits of basil, which is in the mint family https://draxe.com/benefits-of-basil/
Another tea I like to make is passionflower and chamomile. It relieves stress, menopausal symptoms, lowers blood pressure, etc and tastes good. I like to add licorice root instead of chamomile for a treat that I drink about 3 times a week. It's delicious.
Dr Axe wrote a wonderful article about passionflower here https://draxe.com/passion-flower/
and another one on licorice root here https://draxe.com/licorice-root/
Please remember to do your own research before you use any herbs.
I will add to this list very soon
